The content of the touchpad configuration is provided by synaptiks which was updated to version 0.7.0-14.1
synaptiks provides 2 pages:
touchpad administration
touchpad configuration
The first page contains the setting which I am missing.
A workaround is to start synaptiks manually. than the pages are accessable from the control panel.
The problem however is that the Integration of synaptiks within systemsettings is partially broken.

hi,
meanwhile I updated KDE 4.7.1 at my MacBook Pro and a very ugly regression happens!
Within the systemsetting in hardware -> input devices -> touchpad the former (in 4.7.0) setting "disable touchpad while typing" with the option to specify the re-enabling time in seconds are disappeared!
btw: the most important touchpad settings were also deleted (2-finger click,3-finger click) - but I could reestablish at least these settings. Additionaly the hardware page within the touchpad settings shows me also different results as the old one from 4.7.0 (which are wrong but do not have a negative effect) => looks like the complete touchpad module was changed in 4.7.1 ?
However I desparately need the above mentioned setting - without it writing on this laptop is pure hell.
question: How can I revert to 4.7.0? Or does anybody have another ideas/solution?
