I've tried this with both the Firefox from the openSuSE repository and the one downloaded Mozilla.
This is currently FF 6 and TB 6, but I tried upgrading because this problem arose with FF 5 and TB 5 under KDE4.7
Doesn't sound kde related to me.
Are you saying it works in non-kde sessions - e.g. icewm?
Yes I'm saying that - Xfce for me
The only thing about kde that might affect FF and TB is the oxygen-gtk gtk style, so maybe try another one.
From the FF POV I filled out bother the about:config/mailto and the KDE default mailer with my test script and made sure it was on the $PATH. It does not get executed. Whatever the mechanism FF uses for 'send
Yup. BTDT. clearlooks, redmond, qtcurve, the xfce styles. In fact "oxygen-gtk" is the only one I haven't tried. As I said, this problem arose when I upgraded to 4.7. What I'm trying to establish is the underlying mechanism TB and FF use to invoke one another. Is it some DBUS thing? As I said, I followed the instruction at http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Changing%20the%20e-mail%20program%20used%20by%20Firefox?s=send+link&as=s link' it is not doing what that page implies when it is run under KDE4.7 I've tried rolling back to 4.6 but there is just so much and I've probably missed something critical as I can't get KDE to come up as 4.6. I realise I could start deleting things wholesale but that isn't very scientific or methodological is it? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
