Greetings: Navigating to somewhere in the tree of an SMB share and attempting to use the "Tools -> Find File..." is producing this error (by way of example): Error - KIOExec smb://testbed.test.zip/storage/Backups is a folder, but a file was expected. This works as expected on any local file system, but fails on remote smb:/ shares. The failure is the same whether attempted within Dolphin or via Konqueror in file management mode. I've checked out the %u comments from various Googlings, and these all seem to be present in the file associations, such as inode/directory, etc. Don't see anything real obvious in there, although I am not an expert on what I would be looking for either. Just nothing jumps out at me. The other half of the picture is Samba on the remote machine. Nothing has changed there for a very long time. While it is a possibility I have my doubts that the problem originates there. I do not use this all that often but I do know it used to work. Just can't say when it stopped working as I upgrade more often than I use this feature. Current system is openSUSE 11.3 with 2.6.37-rc5-18-desktop kernel from HEAD, latest NVIDIA driver 260.19.21 as installed from the .RUN file downloaded directly from NVIDIA site. KDE is KDE 4.5.4 "Release 9". Prior to the switch of Factory to the KDE 4.6 development cycle I was tracking Factory so the Qt library is 4.7.1. Upon the switch I disabled Factory and dropped back to KR45. This has resulted in a very stable desktop and I hadn't noticed any discrepancies until this problem. I do know it used to work but can't pinpoint exactly when it stopped. Anyone else see this?
