A search of "dolphin D-BUS 1.3" in Google shows a lot of examples of Dolphin instability, that seems to trigger also to openSUSE.
The problem seems to be in D-BUS... never fixed in 1.2.x. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208921 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17754
Now that dbus 1.4 has been released (http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/dbus/2010-September/013378.html) and packaged in Base:System, should it be added to KDE:Distro:Factory and KDE:Release:45? No idea about if that could cause any problems with other parts of the system, but reading the bug comments it seems to be triggered also by other parts of KDE.
I think using a newer dbus version should work, that's what backwards compatibility is for after all :). And KDE:Distro:Factory is a development repo, so testing it there should be the right thing to do.
But there is backwards compatibility and "backwards compatibility? yes, but that function with a declaration in an installed header and exported by the library is internal" :-) no idea about in which kind dbus is. Anyway I'm using it and everything seems to work. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
