Hi all, I've just updated KDE to 4.5 and now in the system tray I've white and stained icons. For instance, knemo, keyboard layout, kopete, korganizer icons are stained, kmix, battery, knetworkmanager, kwallet icons are white.
How can I use only stained icons?
Stained icons... not the right choice of English word. I think you mean colored icons. The monochrome icons are a conscious choice by the KDE developers, and for the most part are a HUGE improvement over the previous icons... especially the WiFi icon. The developers reasoned that the monochrome icons are part of plasma, and different from application icons. I can see the intention/reasoning behind it, and I'm one of the many (?) who think it was a nice change and massive usability improvement. The new icons blend in very nicely with the various desktop themes. Since choice is nice as well... there is a bug open on providing a way to modify or change the icon colors: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=243498 C. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
