Don't take this as a flame but I must read this as: "KDE 4" does not support... Because KDE 3.5.10 perfectly does support this. Anyway I find this a shortcomming if, because "lots of people" have monitors with different resolution, KDE 4 does not support those who do have monitors with the same resolution. Windows supports this, MacOS X supports this (you do have to set the backgrounds separately though), KDE 3 did, I'd have to try for Gnome. Is there at least a way to have two folderview on the two displays (and I mean forlderview as desktop, not a folderview with title that sits on your desktop?
