What is about the personalities/ the personal data in some files? In firefox there is something like ~/.mozilla/firefox/u19iihkp.default and I think the crypt file name is different for every user (?).
No, the name of the Firefox profile must only match what is specified in the profiles.ini file. It does not matter that two users will have the same profile name.
Maybe there are other files in ~home different, to?! Or is it really a solution to copy the ~home of an test-account?
If these are completely new user accounts, then there is no such difference. However, if the user already added files to his $HOME or changed settings, those changes will be lost if you overwrite $HOME. However, you could simply merge the new files into the new $HOME.
(But my my long-term-wish is a completely "ready to use" kde-user after set up a new one in yast or in my egroupware (-> LDAP), I think this is only possible with "my own default" kde.)
Yes, I do this for new-distro installs for other users as well. I set up Hebrew language in KDE, OpenOffice and Mozilla apps, configure some plasmoids, and so forth. -- Dotan Cohen http://bido.com http://what-is-what.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
