I have noticed that every time I use zypper dup to update KDE, libxine1-codecs and k3b-codecs get removed.
Is it possible to modify the package manager so that it backups up libxine1-codecs and k3b-codecs, update KDE and then reinstall the codecs back automatically.
Can this be accomplished?
What is the exact command you use? 'zypper dup -r <kkfd-alias>'? otherwise I don't see why it'd remove stuff or have you disabled packman? Try instead 'zypper dup -r <kkfd-alias> -r <packman-alias>' Or just use 'zypper up' - dup should not be necessary - especially not when the initial vendor change has been done. Personally I prefer to use YaST for KDE updates. Go to Repository view for kkfd -> Right Click random package -> All in this list -> Update if newer is available. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
