Is this something we should keep an eye on for improving in openSUSE 11.2? -- Marc Benstein -- I had a similar problem with my headset the wrong mikrophone channel was recognized. Sound seems to be a Problem - not sure if Alsa or something else but especially the hda-intel chips are annoying.
