In KDE3.5 I was able to display an iconised view of my (eight) desktops on the taskbar. This made it easy to select an empty desktop for a new task (e.g. running digikam and rawtherapee together) while leaving other desktops cluttered up with other work in progress. I can't seem to find this function (should I be calling it a plasmoid?) in KDE4. I can right click on applications in the taskbar and send them to other desktops, but this is not quite the same as choosing a different desktop to work on. I'm also aware that there is probably a paradigm-shifting learning curve to get over when moving from KDE3 to KDE4. -- Bob Registered Linux User #463880 FSFE Member #1300 GPG-FP: A6C1 457C 6DBA B13E 5524 F703 D12A FB79 926B 994E openSUSE 11.0, Kernel 2.6.25.11-0.1-default, KDE 4.1.1 Intel Celeron 2.53GB, 2GB DDR RAM, nVidia GeForce 7600GS --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
