Then (immediately!!!) I try to download those Emails with Kmail, and after 10 seconds or so, Kmail finishes the download with the message: "No new emails...". Reloading the webpage with the webmail interface approve this: there are no longer any emails in my mailbox on the server side... and alos no emails in my local inbox.
Maybe... sounds like t-bird is leaving mail marked as 'read' and kmail is *only* dl'ing 'new' mail. There is a difference.
No, Thunderbird loads the Email properly from the remote POP3-Server into the local inbox. Kmail instead also downloads the Emails from the remote POP3-Server into the local inbox, but sometimes it doesn't download, but deletes them ON THE REMOTE POP3 SERVER SIDE!!! I've a 56 K Microlink modem, so the downlaod always takes some time. In case of a delete, the runtime of the downlaod is much shorter so that the only possiiblity is the delete on the server side. Kmail triggers this delete, and I believe this is due to my config settings. However, what kind of settings might cause this?
