Do you leave kontact open when shutting down?
Yes, in most cases.
I think the problem ist that those settings are not written quick enough to the disk, before KDE exits. If you quit kontact before shutting down KDE this should not happen.
Maybe this is right, but _if_ it is right, its nearly a bug. This machine is running the whole day and Kontact/KMail is most of the time in front. Its mainly a "Organisation-Station" (Organi-station sounds good to me, he he), and some other machines are used to work. So i make this settings in the morning, and kontact has some hours to write it down to the disk until the next shutdown comes. But a similar behaviour i have seen with KNode (also inside of Kontact), which isnt counting the local Usenet-Postings until it is closed before shutdown.
I did not have this problem yet with KDE 3.5.2, but we'll see.
I did not have it until 3.5.x, will upgrade to 3.5.2 in the next days. We'll see.. regards, Jens
