Problem is, that SuSE 9.1 does not have xine by default (or version is too old, I can't remember). You can get a new xine package at packman or similar sources, but the SuSE Team has to act as if you have a plain vanilla SuSE 9.1 That's why you don't get this xine engine for SuSE 9.1 from SuSE Team. But if you have an up-to-date xine package from somewhere, you can fetch the src.rpm of amarok and edit the spec file. I think there is a check to not build xine engine below SuSE 9.2. You have to edit (or remove) this check and build the package, then you should get amarok with xine engine. Best, Daniel Am Freitag, 2. Dezember 2005 14:50 schrieb Michael Schueller:
Hello List, hello Maintainer,
does anybody know who i could ask to release the amarok-xine engine even for SuSE 9.1. As far i can see it was buildet for Versions up from SuSE 9.2, but not for SuSE 9.1 (bad Luck for me i guess ;-)
So what could i do, or who could i ask for ?
Thanks Michael
