Hi there!

Btw, is there a way to redefine the Windows key, so that it launches the KDE menu? I have tried doing it by SuSE>Control Center>Regional and then adding Win keys and redefining it to some ISO_Level3_Shift, but then it is launched everytime I use the Alt button left to the space, not the Win key.
I know this has come through either this list or SuSE-Linux-E within the past several months, but I can't find it by searching the archives. So here's my reconstruction of how I did it: KDE Control Center -> Regional & Accessibility (category) --> Keyboard Shortcuts (subcategory) ---> Panel (group -- right-hand panel) ----> Popup Launch Menu (probably shows default ALT+F1 key binding) Assign "ISO_Level3_Shift" (left Win key) and "Multi_key" (right-hand Win key) to this action. Actually, now that I found the distinctive string "ISO_Level3_Shift" is associated with this modification, an Internet search did turn up the pertinent posting: - Start of thread http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-kde/2005-May/0055.html - Details of modification: http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-kde/2005-May/0058.html In fact, I replied to this post, adding this: http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-kde/2005-May/0059.html "Wow. Thanks! I did find that the left Win key is called ISO_Level3_Shift while the right one is Multi_key, and both must be attached if you want the KDE menu activated using either Win key. "How long has this been possible? Where did the belief that it was impossible originate? I know it's been stated here, at least once in the past year."
Thanks in advance,
Ian.
