Hi Shriramana,
I have no KOffice on KDE 3_4 on SuSE 9.3. Does it not exist or is it just not installed by default? I don't remember ever having a YaST option to install it during the system setup and yes I selected individual packages for games, office and multimedia myself, which is why I ask.
... when installing SuSE you may choose from a number of installation types such as standard, standard with office, development system and I don't know what. I think it's like 4 or 5 different types. My guess is you chose standard. In this case, no office should IMHO be installed, neither KOffice nor OpenOffice. You can install any package you want later by using Yast2 (->"kdesu yast2"). Insert the DVD and choose everything office related you need to install. After that, the K menu should show the corresponding office in the office menu. If not, refresh it (logging out and in again is the _easiest_ way). After that, starting office should be no problem. Hope this helps. -- cul8er Paul paul.foerster@gmx.net
