I think someone in SLE recently had this problem, but I cannot find the thread right now. I will keep looking; for now, here are some ideas that might help. Boot into rescue mode, from the install CD, and mount that partition read-only. See if you can read the attributes on those files. If you can, they are probably wrong, so try to change them. If you cannot read the attributes and/or cannot change them, umount the partition and fsck it. If it is formatted reiser, run reiserfsck instead.
