Does your screen go black and hang? Can you do a ctrl+alt+backspace and restart X within KDE? Are you using Xorg or Xfree? I can not restart my X server within KDE with ctrl+alt+backspace...I get the same freeze as if I were to logout.
Yes the screen just goes blank and ctr+alt+backspace doesn't help at all. I can't do SSH to it or go to a different run level. It is completely dead. I'm using XFree. cheers Hamid
