Hi Malte, That's indeed the case, i'm running my own IMAP-server. This explains a lot, because this is indeed the case since i've changed to imap, as i recall now :-) In meantime i've subscribed to this mailinglist, as they still need to change quite some things to get professional. I don't have this problem, but exactly this question was asked at the kdepim-users AT kde.org mailing list a few days ago. The answer was that the KMail user probably uses a calendar or addressbook configured to use IMAP and this causes KMail to get started and this behaviour can't unfortunately be changed. So if you use IMAP this may be the reason.
