Anybody knows whether exists a suitable video editor for kde? And for free?
There was some duscussion and suggestions in the thread starting http://www.linux.net.nz/lists/NZLUG/2004/09/0060.html recently. It looks to me like Linux is a loser currently. Linux doesn't even come with useful en/decoders out of the box. From long ago I remember that some company was working on a commercial video editing tool for Linux. Personally I prefer by a long shot commercial (and affordable!) Linux software over having to use M$. That's why I think commercial software development for Linux should be encouraged. Btw the situation for audio editing on Linux equally sucks. Both available easily for Redmond.
