I'm still with 9.0, but running KDE 3.2.2 and my Konq is pointing to the java in /usr/lib/java/jre/bin/java. That is the default that was setup on install of 9.0 for me, I haven't changed that.
Tried that - while there is an executable java there, it still does not work in Konqueror though. Thanks for the thought.

Ok, then try this. Make sure that your plugin, located in the /opt/mozilla/lib/plugins directory is a link to the actual java file, located in /usr/lib/java/jre/bin/. Many things for Konq now balk at being the actual plugin. They need to be a link instead. Mozilla doesn't care either way for some things, but if you check the readme files for most of the plugins now, they specifically instruct you to make a link to the actual file.
