Ok, then try this. Make sure that your plugin, located in the /opt/mozilla/lib/plugins directory is a link to the actual java file, located in /usr/lib/java/jre/bin/. Many things for Konq now balk at being the actual plugin. They need to be a link instead. Mozilla doesn't care either way for some things, but if you check the readme files for most of the plugins now, they specifically instruct you to make a link to the actual file.

Tried your suggestion - I still get this error in the konsole window: INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: Some problem with the version 5 System error?:: No such file or directory which is frustrating since all the files & directories do exist (or the symbolic links exist) and I can execute java from them. I don't understand why konqueror seems to think they don't exist. Strange?! Geoff
