Puh, that's strange. It seems that the machine isn't sending any data. But if it
shows a server error message, then it had to be talking to a server.
Are you really sure, the kmail settings are exactly the same? Have you set the
problematic kmail to use any encryption / authentication / etc.?
Have you tried to make a new user on the problematic machine, so that you can
configure a whole new kmail to test with?

Thank you very much for your response. I use SMTP, and both POP3 and SMTP server is local intranet server (in my case 10.0.0.1). I also have 5 other SuSEs (8.1s unlike this 8.2, with their version of KMail configured with exactly same options) and they work without any problem.
