KInternet is not part of KDE. It is a third-party tool sponsored by SuSE. The official KDE dialup app is KPPP. It works better for me so I use that when I'm not on a network. On Sunday, March 30, 2003 1:34 am, Matt T. wrote:

Ya know. I'm not really sure. I would check the version of the RPM's that were installed against the new one's. I just happen to look over at kde.org and figure out that the 3.1.1 build on that ftp server was 5 builds newer then the pkgs on SuSE's ftp site..even though the same person makes them. Don't as me why but things are not in sync. The pkgs on the SuSE ftp server have issues such as KDE's screen saver not accepting passwd's to unlock the screen but the build on kde.org works just fine.
If kinternet works for you the way you have it..stick with it. They'll sort everything out eventually.

From apps.kde.com:
"Description: Kooka, part of the kdegraphics package,..." <- that makes me thinking it should be there.
Kinternet may be a SuSE thing though, and I installed from kde.org, so it might therefore not be included. Anyway, the old one works fine, I'll take your advice and stick with it.
Thanks, Matt T.
