I'm running SuSE 8.1. I downloaded and installed the kcommander3-3-0-281 RPM. YAST installed the package without warnings or problems. However, I'm not sure that I have the program. There wasn't a name installed for Kcommander with the other applications or file managers. No icons. No sign of Kcommander anywhere. How do I know if Kcommander really is installed? Do I need to run any special commands to launch or activate it? Please advise. Thanks. Vince
Hi Vince, if everything went fine during installation, kcommander should be on your system. Just type "ALT+F2" and insert kcommander3, this should start the application. Wether there is an icon or a desktop link after installation depends on the RPM. Daniel
