Thanks for the reply Salman, but when my screen blanks out, hitting Escape or any other key(s) does not get me back to anything. Even with the nVidia drivers (apparently) loaded I don't get any other screen blanks. It sure is strange that nVidia would release defective drivers. The problem probably only exists on a small number of GeForce cards, so they don't consider it to be something worth bothering to fix. Regards Dave
