Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Rafael Belmonte (eaglescreen) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Hello, actually OpenSUSE 11.4, and 12.1 install kernel-desktop from the standard DVD installer, at least if user choose to install a graphical desktop environment such KDE or GNOME. But I have found that Live CDs (GNOME and KDE) install kernel-default, this haven't got much sense for me. I think Live GNOME and Live KDE mediums should also install kernel- desktop by default instead of kernel-default. Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: Most of the people who install a system from a Live GNOME or Live KDE CD do it because they are installing in a Desktop computer, therefore kernel-desktop is better optimized by this kind of computers. My own laptop cannot use the desktop kernel because certain types of Intel Centrino chips are excluded.
