Feature changed by: Andreas Jaeger (a_jaeger) Feature #309156, revision 7 Title: package ICC-profiles - openSUSE-11.3: Unconfirmed + openSUSE-11.3: Rejected by Andreas Jaeger (a_jaeger) + reject reason: ECI profiles are non free - for 12.1 I expect other + profiles to get added. Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Sirko Kemter (gnokii) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Make the ICC profiles from ECI.org available. ICC profiles are needed for printing. At moment are only the Adobe ICC profiles available. But they are nonfree. There is a organization for open standards in europe called ECI and the most printing services work with there profiles. At the moment I have to download the profiles from ther webpages, unpack and copy them to the right place in the system. On ubuntu is this easier, I install the profiles with the package icc- profiles Discussion: #1: Vincent Untz (vuntz) (2010-03-09 16:52:00) Shouldn't those profiles be shipped with shared-color-profiles? http://github.com/hughsie/shared-color-profiles #2: Vincent Untz (vuntz) (2010-04-07 17:09:27) (reply to #1) Apparently, the ECI profiles are non-free: http://blogs.gnome.org/hughsie/2010/01/06/standard-cmyk-color-spaces/ #4: Kai-Uwe Behrmann (bekun) (2010-12-27 18:18:50) (reply to #1) Please not. The shared-color-profiles package is still violating the included zlib license. Use the public reviewed OpenICC profiles. These are the originals and will be required by Oyranos for KDE anyway. Packages are in multimedia::color_management openicc-data. #3: Thomas Schmidt (digitaltomm) (2010-11-15 18:03:39) @vincent: Please reject if those profiles cannot be included or move to 11.4 if there is a chance to do it. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/309156
