Feature changed by: Rajko Matovic (rajko_m) Feature #310873, revision 5 - Title: graphical environment for managing pendrive + Title: Graphical environment for managing pendrive openSUSE-11.4: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Desirable + openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed + Priority + Requester: Desirable Requested by: antonio alcántara (arag) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: will be realy usefull a graphical environment for managing pendrive, where you can format, make partition, etc Discussion: #1: Rajko Matovic (rajko_m) (2010-12-09 03:58:29) What about YaST Partitioner? Just connect pendrive, start YaST, go to Partitioner, find USB stick in the list and do what you have to do. Although, I can see use case for the same module that will list only pendrives, so that user by mistake don't format his hard disk. + #2: Rajko Matovic (rajko_m) (2010-12-09 04:59:54) + Added openSUSE Distribution to preserve idea, as it is probably too + late for 11.4. + The idea is to have entry point to Partitioner that will list only USB + devices and a bit more help and warnings to user to check twice before + performing any destructive operation. Help would be how to recognize + correct USB device and where to ask for help if not sure. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/310873
