Feature changed by: Jan Engelhardt (jengelh) Feature #308690, revision 3 Title: Blueray support openSUSE-11.3: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Agustin Chavarria (dj_ubun_1) Description: opensuse 11.3 would be great to have support for BlueRay discs, there is no linux client that support for this type of format, and would be a great way for users to have this support, so you can burn your movies in this format, see videos in BlueRay either VLC, Totem, Kaffeine, Bangarang, etc etc Discussion: #1: Grozdan Nikolov (microchip8) (2010-01-10 04:43:49) For this to happen, all the available players would need a bluray library which currently is not available. There is a libbluray development going on right now, but it's not even in Beta, let alone supported by MPlayer/VLC/etc. Also it currently can only decrypt some discs but not all openSUSE is not responsible for the development of bluray stuff so when it's not available yet, openSUSE can't do much about it + #2: Jan Engelhardt (jengelh) (2010-01-14 13:22:26) + cdrecord can write BluRay. And if things are standardized (I don't know + - I don't have nor need BR), you could just mount it like any other + disc if it has a UDF/ISO filesystem. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/308690
