Feature changed by: Dean Hilkewich (deanjo13) Feature #306339, revision 8 Title: YaST module for setting up local OBS Buildservice: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important openSUSE-11.2: Evaluation Priority Requester: Important openSUSE-11.3: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Dean Hilkewich (deanjo13) Description: It seems to me that one module that is sorely missing from yast is a local OBS module. It could greatly simplify the process and perhaps enable more people to cut their teeth on how to use it effectively instead of trying to build something on the hosted OBS which restricts what they can build without violating the terms and often involves a long wait to even see if something builds or fails. This whole process in a yast module might encourage people to use OBS. http://en.opensuse.org/Build_Service/Build_Service_Installation_Tutorial/ope... Discussion: #1: Michael Löffler (michl19) (2009-04-08 11:16:24) Looks like a useful feature but I think the creation of the module should be picked up by somebody outside Novell. #2: Christoph Thiel (cthiel1) (2009-04-20 17:33:00) (reply to #1) I agree. + #3: Dean Hilkewich (deanjo13) (2009-04-23 06:44:15) (reply to #2) + The whole idea of setting up an easy local build service is to set the + people build what they want. Giving a tool to aid with the setup of a + service is no more potentially illegally grey then a compiler that can + be used for questionable activities. Novell has no liability in it's + use. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/306339
