I don't have time to contribute to projects like this. I have time to be an openSUSE user, and that's about it. You saying that pretty much anyone who makes a complaint should step up and maintain things when they have complaints makes it feel like only people who are able to step up and maintain things should be using openSUSE and like valid complaints fall on deaf ears.
I have heard sooo many times that people are unwilling to make complaints to openSUSE now as they will just be told to step up and contribute.
Not everyone has the time or capability to contribute, sorry.
Sure, you do not need to contribute. But then don't demean and deminish the work of people who do the work you dont have the time or the inclination to do, and then share the proceeds of their work with you, for free. That doesn't mean your posts are not welcome, but consider the tone and the content of your posts and ensure they convey the feelings and respect you wish to the volunteers you are dependant on. For example, a single "simple fix" provided by a motivated volunteer is worth more than an infinate amount of your mailinglist posts threatening to take your use of a free distribution if we don't do what you tell us. I work really hard to never critique the hard work of others as a "simple fix", unless I am absolutely willing to take on that work with or instead of them. I'd suggest you consider a similar approach.
