Then the problem would seem to be a wildly over-agressive "recommends" inclusion scheme. Why on earth would, or should,
# zypper in gnome-settings-daemon
trigger the install of LibreOffice and Nautilus and the other 144 packages?
That's just something to look at, unless the recommended use of zypper is to now include the '--no-recommend' as a default option to the call -- which seems a bit self-defeating.
iirc, the recommended incantation is: zypper dup --no-recommends --no-allow-vendor-change personally, I would use, and do on Tw: zypper ref && zypper -v dup --no-r --no-allow-v -d && zypper -v dup \ --no-r -y --no-allow-v -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
