Axel Braun
Hi,
in order to spot some hardware problems we've installed TW 20170710 on /dev/ sdc. On /dev/sdb there is a windoze-installation (fdisk shows /dev/sdb1 as bootable), but grub2-mkinstall does not recognize this during the config run. How can I add it?
In this context I noticed that YaST does not support adding new boot sections anymore. https://doc.opensuse.org/documentation/leap/reference/html/ book.opensuse.reference/cha.grub2.html#sec.grub2.yast2.config seems to be outtdated
Thanks Axel
Hi, you probably mean os-prober. Try if it find your windows installation with sudo os-prober /dev/sda2@/efi/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi:Windows Boot Manager:Windows:efi if not, report a bug for os-prober. If you want to have it in grub menu, ensure you have grep OS_PROBER /etc/default/grub GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER="false" and then you have to run grub2-mkconfig and place output to /boot/grub2/grub.cfg or run yast2 bootloader module, which do it for you and offer also checkbox for os prober enable/disable.
