Yes, in https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/501631, dimstar wants "to actually not produce libldap-2.4.so.2 AT ALL".
The latest SR to openldap2 finally implemented that. But then someone rejected it because they wrongly read the situation and then failed to answer when called out.
