...which is by design. A library is being dropped here. There are hundreds of packages in openSUSE:Factory but NOT in network:ldap which have to be rebuilt first - which requires that 508096 proceeds.

Yes, in https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/501631, dimstar wants "to actually not produce libldap-2.4.so.2 AT ALL". The latest SR to openldap2 finally implemented that.
