I can confirm this in KDE if the checkbos is set: use openGL rendering If I uncheck this box everything works as expected. This is on a Tuxedo intel haswell iris gpu (i7-4770HQ cpu)
Note: you can only access this box if you do not have the libreoffice-gtk3 or -gnome rpm installed. What I have installed is libreoffice-kde4 and I wonder if there is a kde5 version in the works.
I *cannot* confirm this: I've removed libreoffice-gtk3 and OpenGL was disabled on my system because of former crashes anyway. The CPU still goes up too 100%. Enabling and again disabling OpenGL did not make a difference (despite another crash).
Note that the CPU load goes down as long as the modal options dialogue is open. This might be what you observed and is IMHO a good indicator that something's wrong with the glib main loop like Dominique wrote in a former posting in this thread.
Ciao, Michael.
Interesting. I also saw the load going down while I was in the options menu. However on my machine it is still enough to uncheck this box. I just rechecked. The load is not 100% if unchecked wether or not I am in the options menue. -- fest 040 32536326 mobil 01525 337 1476 Heidebrinker Weg 7 22147 Hamburg -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
