Hi,
Suddenly, I noticed today that current Tumbleweed 20170414 is not anymore capable to auto-mount USB drives as well as my Android (Nougat) internal storage.
I remember clearly that some time ago both devices were correctly mounted as soon as plugged into one of the USB port of my Notebook and displayed and accesible through the file-manager.
Anybody else figured out same issues?
As this is a function of the desktop file manager, you will have to mention at least which desktop ;-)
Hi Carlos, This issue is present on the following DE: *Cinnamon *Gnome *Xfce I tried also to login as super-user, without any differences. System "feels" the devices when plugged without react accordingly: ==========Below lines are when I plug the USB HDD=================== 2017-04-18T15:28:38.579746-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [ 6526.777400] sd 6:0:0:0: [sdb] Assuming drive cache: write through 2017-04-18T15:28:38.609581-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [ 6526.804888] sdb: sdb1 < sdb5 sdb6 > sdb2 2017-04-18T15:28:38.617571-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [ 6526.811517] sd 6:0:0:0: [sdb] Attached SCSI disk 2017-04-18T15:31:34.841588-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [ 6703.046086] usb 1-1.1: USB disconnect, device number 8 2017-04-18T16:34:53.397640-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10501.832204] usb 2-1.1: USB disconnect, device number 9 2017-04-18T16:34:58.229584-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10506.663960] usb 2-1.1: new high-speed USB device number 10 using ehci-pci 2017-04-18T16:35:03.481585-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10511.916613] usb 2-1.1: device descriptor read/64, error -110 2017-04-18T16:35:03.710495-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10512.148343] usb 2-1.1: New USB device found, idVendor=03f0, idProduct=110c 2017-04-18T16:35:03.710509-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10512.148346] usb 2-1.1: New USB device strings: Mfr=2, Product=3, SerialNumber=1 2017-04-18T16:35:03.710511-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10512.148347] usb 2-1.1: Product: HP Pocket Media Drive 2017-04-18T16:35:03.710516-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10512.148348] usb 2-1.1: Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard 2017-04-18T16:35:03.710517-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10512.148349] usb 2-1.1: SerialNumber: Hitachi HT SB2482SJKNS27H 2017-04-18T16:35:03.713579-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10512.150384] usb-storage 2-1.1:1.0: USB Mass Storage device detected 2017-04-18T16:35:03.713590-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10512.150471] scsi host6: usb-storage 2-1.1:1.0 2017-04-18T16:35:04.749703-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10513.188633] scsi 6:0:0:0: Direct-Access Hitachi HTS541616J9SA00 PQ: 0 ANSI: 2 2017-04-18T16:35:04.753573-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10513.189146] sd 6:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg2 type 0 2017-04-18T16:35:04.753583-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10513.189994] sd 6:0:0:0: [sdb] 312581808 512-byte logical blocks: (160 GB/149 GiB) 2017-04-18T16:35:04.753585-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10513.192498] sd 6:0:0:0: [sdb] Write Protect is off 2017-04-18T16:35:04.753586-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10513.192500] sd 6:0:0:0: [sdb] Mode Sense: 38 00 00 00 2017-04-18T16:35:04.755840-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10513.194995] sd 6:0:0:0: [sdb] No Caching mode page found 2017-04-18T16:35:04.755846-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10513.194998] sd 6:0:0:0: [sdb] Assuming drive cache: write through ==========Below lines are when I plug the Android=================== 2017-04-18T16:37:50.229587-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10678.683077] usb 1-1.1: new high-speed USB device number 9 using ehci-pci 2017-04-18T16:37:50.337590-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10678.791992] usb 1-1.1: New USB device found, idVendor=2b4c, idProduct=101d 2017-04-18T16:37:50.337607-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10678.791994] usb 1-1.1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 2017-04-18T16:37:50.337609-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10678.791995] usb 1-1.1: Product: Z2-PLUS 2017-04-18T16:37:50.337610-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10678.791996] usb 1-1.1: Manufacturer: ShenQi 2017-04-18T16:37:50.337611-03:00 linux-turion64 kernel: [10678.791997] usb 1-1.1: SerialNumber: 14ed582e Cheers, Marco -- Marco Calistri Opensuse Tumbleweed 64 bit Intel® Core™ i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz × 4 Intel® Sandybridge Mobile Nry隊Z)z{.r+맲rz^ˬzN(֜^ ޭ隊Z)z{.r+0Ǩ
