yes, you were right. It was coincidence. Some server side certifates have been changed. It works after switching Windows XP to POSReady and update. thanks On streda, 29. marca 2017 16:18:58 CEST Stratos Zolotas wrote:

Anyway, how can I revert e.g. VirtualBox to 5.1.16 version?
Host system is opensuse tumbleweed with latest patches and yes, only windows XP and IE is affected. I also tried to install clean windows XP and result is same. Firefox can open those pages without problem, but unfortunately I need IE. Error in IE is generic: Internet explorer cannot display the webpage. Internet is full of this message and solutions, but I am without success.
I think you cannot solve this issue. Windows XP are unsupported and cannot handle new SSL certificates which use elliptic curve protocols. Have you tried with Firefox on Windows XP? IE on XP will never work with new SSL certs and I think your issue has nothing to do with TW and (or) Virtualbox.
thank you very much, m.

Hi Michal,
it's a bit tricky to pinpoint this to a particular update. I haven't came across a similar experience so far.
What I would like to know is your whole setup. - What are you running as a host system? - What ssh connection to what host was working and has problems now? - What patches where added during the last week? - HTTPS wise, is only Windows XP affected? - What error message do you get for that HTTPS connection?
You could also revert the last patches installed on the openSUSE box your running.
Ciao, Alex~

hi,
after some update last week I cannot make some SSL connections. In SSH I found workaround in ~/.ssh/config
Host *.xx.xx KexAlgorithms diffie-hellman-group1-sha1
What is worse that I cannot access some https pages in Windows XP running in VirtualBox e.g. when I try https://support.microsoft.com in IE All sites that doesn't work in windows XP uses ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 cipher. All I know that it works 2 weeks ago.
Can anybody point me what is going on?
thanks, m.
