I know how to use the Grub menu to boot into a partition. What I was referring to was selecting the boot partition, as I rebooted the system, so that I don't have to wait for the Grub menu to come up, to select the partition.
The Yast Bootloader has a feature to "Hide the Menu". I just tested it and the Grub2 menu no longer appears.
You are way off on the wrong track. In 13.1 and earlier, it was a simple matter to choose what was booted after a reboot. That is no longer available. In 13.1, I could select reboot from the desktop, select the desired partition from a drop down list and then reboot right into the desired partition. In addition to 13.1, I could choose from Windows and memtest and did not have to select after the Grub menu came up. This was a very useful feature that's no longer available, unless I roll my own with grub2-once. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
