In principle, there is ConditionHost= which can be used in any unit (not only timer) and will gracefully skip unit start on non-matching host.
And if you want to migrate to another machine then you have to edit all unit files.
And if you want to migrate to another machine you need to create crontab on another machine. I am not sure what you aim at with this response. I simply try to provide technical background about systemd to assist in better and more substantiated decision. Did I ever try to convince *you* that you must drop cron?
