Hello Stefan,
thanks for your feedback. It would be nice to see you on bnc-team-xfce. I think Takashi is mostly overworked by kernelpatching :) But I could try to help fix as much bugs as possible in the XFCE area.
This would certainly be welcome.
I'm still new to OBS but I slowly get the hang of it. If you have any current documents for the Leap Maintenance workflow, it could help me to do most of the work and reduce the work for the maintainer(s).
To be honest, I first need to look up what needs to be done to get the maintenance update into 42.1 (it will be needed there, too, as the Thunar version is the same in 42.1, 42.2 and Tumbleweed). That's why I have submitted (and self-accepted) your fix into X11:xfce first, then (after an additional one-liner comment fix to the spec file) forwarded it to Factory. I know how to do that. Maintenance for released distributions, I need to look up :-P But we'll get this fix out. About the OBS workflow: if you find that the version in X11:xfce is not newer than in Leap, then just submit your fixes to X11:xfce (still open a bugzilla, because the bugzilla id is needed for a maintenance update) and we'll forward it from there. Fortunately, due to the slow pace of XFCE development, many packages in X11:xfce are still not (much) newer than the Leap released ones. So the workflow would be: "osc bco X11:xfce package", then fix it in your home:branch repo, then submit back to X11:xfce. -- Stefan Seyfried "For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for nature cannot be fooled." -- Richard Feynman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
