Hi

Every single character my the screen has a shadow, any solution or
ideas?

screenshots please.

Shadows? There is no shadow.
(https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/tryit.asp?filename=trycss3_text-shadow_blu
r is what a shadow is.)

Except if by shadow you mean antialiasing. Yes, built-in bitmaps were
disabled at some point -- such update has also hit 42.2(!).
With the transition libfreetype6-2.6.3 -> libfreetype6-2.7.0, Arial 10pt
@96dpi for example changed from its pixly look to a more rounded one.
Ccing fstrba/sumski.
It was an easy way for me to describe the effect as it looks like a shadow to
me. That link shows a shadow with blur effect which isn't the effect on my
screen.
