Possibly you may need to detail your meaning of "everything" uninstalled. Are you sure everything in /etc/X11* is as the installer left it, neither an xorg.conf file nor any modified files in xorg.conf.d/?
the driver you mentioned wasn't loaded. The X server tried to load something named "modesettings", but didn't succeed without telling the exact reason. After that the fbdevhw driver was loaded, which still failed on my Leap 42.2 system - as described in my original mail. I updated to the latest kernel from the kernel stable repo (4.8.11), but that didn't work either. Adding a Driver entry to xorg.conf.d also wasn't successful. So I don't have any clue what to do next.
