Update on the situation: Good news! The Calamares installer can be adapted to work with SuseStudio images: https://calamares.io/bugs/browse/CAL-397 I will continue to use yast2-live-installer as long as it works, but it's good to know that there is an alternative when yast2-live-installer inevitably becomes incompatible with upstream openSUSE. Hi everyone,
Now that yast2-live-installer has been completely deprecated, I'm worried about the future of installing SuseStudio images. For now, the yast2-live-installer still works, although it requires replacing the /etc/YaST2/control.xml with this modified version: https://pastebin.mozilla.org/8912561 I'm worried that at some point it will completely break as Tumbleweed continues to evolve.
What alternatives exist? Is anybody available to continue maintaining yast2-live-installer?
