By default I'm getting /home as a subvolume on Btrfs. I'm using openSUSE-Leap-42.2-DVD-x86_64-Build0164-Media.iso in a virt-manager VM with a 12GiB qcow2 as backing.

I'm pretty sure that the /home subvolume is a bug.
It's related to the size of the target. Whether it's a bug or not I can't say, but if the idea is really that /home is recommended to be XFS, then below that minimum size the entire installation should be XFS. -- Chris Murphy -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
