We've had ffmpeg 3 in multimedia:libs for quite a while, it now stands at 3.0.2 because a lot of packages depend on it and we didn't want to break their builds. I've made a subproject home:plater:ffmpeg and linked all the factory packages from : osc whatdependson openSUSE:Factory ffmpeg standard x86_64 and there are only : audaspace (I've filed a bug upstream, the package is for blender 2.8x when it's released) , k3b , openmcu , qutim and xine-lib that fail and I suspect that xine-lib is a gcc6 error. It looks like all the multimedia, with the exception of xine-lib, packages build now. Can the maintainers please look at their packages, maybe they just need to be updated.
