Hello fellow Tumbleweed users. Zypper/rpm doesn't seem to be bulletproof in all cases, my GDM and gnome desktop both stopped working after upgrading to the latest snapshot. But the workaround is quite simple: rpm -qa --qf '%{name}\n' | egrep 'kde|gnome|xfce|qt|gtk|nautilus|gdm|xdm|sddm' | sudo zypper in -f And gnome is back again.
