... I'm running leap with latest VLC (2.2.1-297.1) from packman and have some trouble with some of the the H264 samples, in particular the 480x360 ones, i.e. test1 and test7 (I get a "hardware accelerator failed to decode picture"). The others appear fine.
Sounds like a problem with hardware decoder, probably along with your graphics card driver. Isn't there a solution in the following thread of discussion: https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/511318-VLC-Issues?highlight=hardw... ? No problem here on ZBook 15 with the latest native Nvidia driver from the Bumblebee repository.
