Thank you for assembling the new Samba packages. Everything is working nicely except a start-up Problem I had on openSUSE 13.1. I got the message
systemd[1]: Starting Samba SMB Daemon... smbd[12585]: /usr/sbin/smbd: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/samba/libsmbd-base-samba4.so: undefined symbol: FAMNoExists systemd[1]: smb.service: main process exited, code=exited, status=127/n/a herkules systemd[1]: Failed to start Samba SMB Daemon.
I could solve the problem by replacing libfam0 by libfam0-gamin which seems to be required.
Thanks for the report! The issue is tracked at https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=945013
Are Bugzilla titles editable?
Yes, they are by clicking on the edit link next to the bug summary.
If so, I would recommend that Bug 945013 reference Samba 4.3.0, not just 4.3.0.
The bug component field is set to Samba and that's why I considered it as quite clear. But fel free to modify the summary.
I looked for something like that. I thought such a field should be there, but missed it. I guess my scanning abilities haven't improved with age.
