Thank you for assembling the new Samba packages. Everything is working nicely except a start-up Problem I had on openSUSE 13.1. I got the message
systemd[1]: Starting Samba SMB Daemon... smbd[12585]: /usr/sbin/smbd: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/samba/libsmbd-base-samba4.so: undefined symbol: FAMNoExists systemd[1]: smb.service: main process exited, code=exited, status=127/n/a herkules systemd[1]: Failed to start Samba SMB Daemon.
I could solve the problem by replacing libfam0 by libfam0-gamin which seems to be required.
Thanks for the report! The issue is tracked at https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=945013 From http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/network:/samba:/TESTING/openSUSE_1... "fixed" packages will be available soon. The packages must have the following change log line: - Recommend to install libfam0-gamin from samba-libs on post-12.1 and pre-13.15 systems; (bnc#945013). Please downgrade to the Samba pre-4.3.0 package state inclusive libfam0, add and enable the network:samba:TESTING/openSUSE_13.1/ repository, and update to 4.3.0 again. The openSUSE Build Service (OBS) is quite busy at the moment. Therefore it will take maybe up to 40 minutes till the binaries will be ready for the network:samba:TESTING/openSUSE_13.1/ target.
